CyberDefender Phishing Alert: CyberDefender Reports 633 New Phishing Scams Have Plagued Internet Users since January 2006

CyberDefender early detection technology reported a total of 633 new phishing scams from January through July 2006. Of these, 302 eBay and 246 PayPal scams plagued Internet users, while 32 Chase and 12 Bank of America scams were also reported. The CyberDefender Phishing Alert is a phishing attack report highlighting recent phishing scams that are plaguing Internet users and exposing them to identity theft.
